This close-up isn't too kind to the eyes but in a smaller version, it will suffice. This is use purely to assess movement.

The Race
This is the original postcard from 1923 illustrated by E.C.Float. The tram comes up from behind and startles the donkey. The donkey then rears and gallops away ahead of the tram, turning the motion of the two subjects into a 'race'.
Once I have completed my cycle ad for this project, I will elaborate on the poem to make a short visual narrative. I will try to animate the narrative in the style of the illustration above so this will be my main point of reference.
